Because so many of the items I make are custom ordered, I only use a cart system for a few items. For the other items, I use a Custom Order Form. Those items have a link that will take you to a fill-in form. Let me know what you are interested in. If you are ordering a custom item, provide me as many details as possible, such as metal choice, bead colors, measurements, etc. I’ll email you and, unless I need further info, will give you a quote and the approximate shipping date. Once you have approved the order, I’ll send you an invoice. (See “Payment Methods Accepted”). Custom Orders and Ordering Things You Don’t See On My Site Want something you don’t see? Whether it’s jewelry, armor, a costume, fetish items, etc, contact me. I’ll be happy to discuss it with you. And if by some chance it’s something I do not make, I probably know someone who can, and would be happy to refer you. One example is SCA grade armor. I prefer to leave that to artists who make it on a regular basis. One other important note, if you are asking me to “copy” something you saw on another artist's site, I may or may not be able to do so. If it is their original design, I won’t copy it without their permission. If it is a common weave, or if you want something similar to their design, but want it customized for you with significant changes, I’ll be happy to work with you. Deposit Requirements for Custom Orders For custom items, I require a 50% deposit before I start on the item. If the item is over $500, I will request an additional 25% when the item is half complete, which I must receive before I continue. The final amount due must be paid before the item will be shipped. Note – items made from precious metals have a slightly different policy, see next policy. Deposit Requirements for Fine Silver/Gold Filled/Solid Gold Items These metals are expensive, and the price fluctuates due to market conditions. At the time an order using one of these is placed, I will provide you a quote for the entire cost, including materials, labor, and shipping. Before I start crafting the item, I must receive a deposit that covers ALL the material cost, plus 40% of the labor. When the item is half complete, I will request an additional 30% of the labor. The balance must be paid before the item will be shipped. So, you think you found the same thing somewhere else for less. Will I match/beat the price? Maybe. Items that “appear” to be the same, may in fact be very different. Are they using the same quality materials? Is it hand-crafted, or machine made? There are some businesses offering cheap products made in sweatshops overseas. I can’t, and won’t, match their price. The first step would be for you to provide me with the website or contact info where you saw it. I will check the item to see if it is similar quality, in both materials and craftsmanship. Then I’ll let you know if I can do it for the same price or less. If you have ordered a stock item or other piece I already have made, I will be happy to refund your money or give you credit towards another item. If the item has already shipped, you must return it (at your expense) before receiving credit. If the order is for a custom made item, I will specify BEFORE you make a payment, whether or not any of the deposit is refundable. Depending on the item, I may be able to credit part of the deposit toward another item. I accept credit and debit card payments through PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, you can also use it to send money directly from your bank account. If you prefer to pay by check or money order, let me know when you place your order. I will not start on your item/ship stock items until your check has cleared. There is a $25 fee for checks that don’t clear. If you are ordering something that is in stock, it will ship within 48 hours after I receive payment. For any other items, I will give you an estimated ship date when you place your order. The amount of time it takes to complete the item depends on many factors, such as whether or not the materials are in stock, and how many orders I am currently working on. I charge actual shipping charges for most items. Small items are shipped USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Larger/heavier items will ship UPS ground. If you prefer a different shipping method, please let me know when you place your order. Insurance is required on all orders over $100. I currently wholesale my dice bags to a game store, and would be happy to discuss selling wholesale to any legitimate store. Please keep in mind these are HANDMADE items. I am not a large manufacturer. So the retail markup is NOT what you may expect. And a lot will depend on the quantities you want. Please contact me, and I will be happy to discuss it with you. Returns/Exchanges Due to an Allergic Reaction to the Materials in an Item. If you develop a reaction to the metal in your item, you can return/exchange it, with some restrictions. I want my customers to be happy with their purchase, and will do what I can to make it right. If the item is in sellable condition, I will be happy to refund your money or give you credit toward another item. If you want it remade from a different material, you will be responsible for the additional material costs if the new material is more expensive. If you are having a problem, please contact me, and we can discuss the options. I personally guarantee that your email address and other info will not be given out to ANYONE, unless you specifically ask me to do a referral. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to me, and I want all my customers to be happy with their purchase. This is one reason I use an email order process for most items instead of a shopping cart, so everything can be discussed before any payment is made. Be sure to read the section on “Ordering Information” before ordering, as it addresses my ordering and return policies. I will do my best to solve any problems, but as an individual craftsperson, I do not have unlimited resources at my disposal. I guarantee that the rings on your chainmaille will stay closed and tight with normal wear. If they open up, I will repair the item at no cost. If the item shows signs of abuse/alteration, I reserve the right to charge a fee. I will let you know the fee before I proceed with the repair. If an item requires three or more repairs within a 24 month period, there is a problem, which will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. I do not warranty the color on anodized materials. Rubber rings have a five year warranty against breakage (void if they show signs of being “sliced” by something). After five years, I will be happy to replace them for a nominal charge. I will resize items made from standard materials one time within 90 days of purchase for no charge. After 90 days, I will be happy to provide an estimate, which will depend on materials and time needed. For items made from Fine Silver/Gold Filled/Solid Gold, there may be a charge, even within 90 days, if a piece needs to be made significantly larger. I will notify you of the charges before proceeding. If an item needs repair or resizing, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE RETURNING IT. I will reply confirming the address to send it to, and let you know if there will be a charge. You are responsible for the cost of sending it to me. I will pay the cost to return it to you once the work is complete. Return To Top |
